Wanderlust Festival On Cockatoo Island

Indulge your inner hippie with yoga, a healthy feast and more this weekend at Wanderlust Festival

Wanderlust, the international wellness festival encouraging an “all-out celebration of mindful living” returns to Sydney for the second time this weekend.

Last year’s inaugural event was held in The Domain. But this time, Wanderlust’s tribe of yoga and meditation teachers, speakers, artists, chefs and musicians will takeover Cockatoo Island – a fitting excuse to escape the city and get among nature.

Take a yoga class led by world-renowned instructors such as Tiffany Cruikshank or listen to a lectures by holistic medical experts and CEOs with green business models.

Or, jump on a water taxi for a half-day trip to destinations around the harbour and coastline for a sunrise/sunset hike or “meditational voyage” with live music. More live tunes will be provided over the weekend by way of acts such as Yolanda Be Cool and Nahko & Medicine For The People.

Raw food pioneer Earth to Table has crafted a vegan dinner, presented by Swisse on Saturday evening. An array of food stalls focused on local, organic ingredients will set up shop at the Wanderlust Food Co-Op.

The festival runs for three days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Tickets are available for purchase as either a one, two or three-day pass. For those attending every day, camping passes for the island are also available. Or, treat yourself to glamping in a Rainbow Tipi.
